"Come, Nadra. There's nothing to fear, I assure you. It will not hurt, and you'll never feel pain again. You will wield my power, as long as you garner my favor, and you will be the ultimate weapon of death. Do you agree?"
The feline glanced at her slender feet, visibly nervous before her powerful queen.
"Y...Yes, my lady. Please. I want nothing more than to be like you..."
Vorel grinned wickedly.
"Very well."
Quicker than anything the cat woman had ever seen, Vorel produced a silver blade and whipped it across her servant's throat. Blood flowed down the front of her golden fur, steaming in the cold air filling the cavern. As her body slumped to the ground Vorel beckoned into the darkness. Four corpses walked out of the shadows and knelt before her, waiting patiently for her command.
"Clean her up. I have work to do."
Some time later they returned, bearing the cloth-swathed body of the golden cat. As they laid her down she began to chant, her hands taking on the sunken appearance of the dead as she channeled the entropic energies inside of her. Tendrils of sickly green reached out and caressed the cold corpse before her, winding their way around her body and up to her parted lips. The magic entered her, filling her slight frame with its power as the language of death echoed through the rocky chamber. Nadra's body rose into the air as the chanting grew more wild, until she hovered a good three feet above the stone floor. Vorel bit off her chanting quickly, watching intently as the last of her spell surrounded the girl.
Her white eyes opened. Her fur was cold. She looked at Vorel and immediately prostrated herself before the jackal.
"My Queen... Thank you for your gift."
Vorel laughed, a sound that raised the hackles on the newborn undead's fur.
"You'll repay me, Nadra. Don't think for an instant that you won't."
