OMG!, I like this type of story as much as yiff. I like sad stories but nomatter who sad or sole-ripping, I never cry. I do not know my real father and when I was little the only dad I knew beat me, so that is most likely why I don't cry. Please don't feel sorry for me, I dont give a damn about those people. Wow. Nothing like the regret of a chance never taken, and watching the one you loved miserable or rich and (superficially) happy without you.

You have the power to take a short span of time, or a fleeting memory, and write a story around it as if you were the person remembering it. Of course, you're the author and you ARE the one creating the universe, so that's understandable.

But the level of emotional complexity in this piece is astounding, because you do it in such a short space! You have the power to use few words to convey a plethora of emotions and unsaid thoughts that other authors need pages to tell. I am one of those authors sometimes, honestly. And I wish I could be better at that, which means that each story is another chance.

Bravo. I hope to read more.
