In some folklore, it is said that Raven brought fire and light to mankind. I find it interesting that the torch, one like the brand of fire carried by Raven, is associated with knowledge and learning. While the term “bird brain” is often used to indicate someone of lesser intelligence, the members of the corvus family are incredibly clever, the raven included. Thus, I feel that is it most appropriate that Raven brought fire to mankind, perhaps, not just light and warmth, but also the warmth of kindness and giving, and illumination, or rather, a fiery passion for learning and knowledge.
This ACO card is a replacement for this one: http://nashoba-hostina.deviantart.c.....-Card-37790600 which I did for http://www.furaffinity.net/user/korppi/ years ago. Her home fell victim to a terrible flood, and many of her possessions were destroyed, including the card. Rather than try to remake the first one, I went with something new, because the “Raven Steals Fire” myth reminds me of her.
