Do remember, that was because SciFi Execs of the time basically flip flopped on whether or not they would be renewing for another season, stating, a few weeks before airing, that they would not. The creator gambled that they would give them another one thanks to the cliff hanger, and while that didn't work, PeaceKeeper wars was still kind of a cool trade off.
