Not really, the idea was more-or-less Ranger using souls to increase his magical potential, and while absorbing the energy from them or when he has a substantial amount of energy stored, the markings appear

Well, basically every time I use Ranger in a fantasy scenario, he's usually a spellcaster of some sort. So, when drawing the soul vore portion of this sequence, I had the idea of giving Ranger a "use" for the absorbed soul. He absorbs its energy and combines it into his pool of magic, increasing his abilities or storing more power for later. When this is the case, the markings appear.

i would be ok with being eaten as long as he dosent absorb my soul as it is corrupt and would rather drain his energy storage completely and i could reform myself and he would have almost no magical ability and i would gain his powers so........ yeah also it seems normal on the outside if you manage to see it because my soul drains power so look out for that
