I've mentioned my ADD thing in replies before.
After starting meds, I got the expected benefit of being able to plan and concentrate for centuries at a time.
An unexpectedbenefit is that my social anxiety has virtually disappered. I don't care any more if people are looking at me.
And I stand out; sometimes I'm like Woody Allen trying to pass himself off as Lou Reed.

I totally understand. I resisted taking anti-depressants for 20 years.
I try not to persuade people to do what I do.
But I do want to assure you in your scenario, you'd be able to focus longer and deeper in both drawing and story-telling.
