"Toys? Pfft, give me a book any day!"
(Artist: Actually, I disliked reading as a kid because I had a tough time with it, especially English books. It took a lot of help from my neighbour and determination to finally be able to read English books. But, my mom is a reader and introduced me to books I finally stuck to and I've been a reader ever since. I wanted little Neko to be the same)

Aw, that's adorable. I actually thought of asking this question myself, but I decided to go for Cara because she fascinates me. But yay for reading! I grew up on books. Some of my earliest memories are of my parents reading to me, and they didn't start out with the kiddy stuff, either. One of the first books I remember having read to me is The Hobbit. It didn't take much to convince me to read for myself, either.
For me, it was Legos. My parents would give me a set, I'd find a quiet corner, and be lost for hours playing with those minifigs. And then I found books, and I could read stories about submarines and poisonous snakes and swordsmen in a distant country called France⦠aaaaah, those magical days. :)
