Don't skip over this for the drawing quality, there's a lot to learn from the story behind it.
Oh my gosh, I've been trying to do this kind of fast drawing for ever since I started drawing, but never grasped it until right now.
This took five minutes.
This is a complete drawing, with color, with a clear rendering and a believable character.
Five minutes.
Something like this would take me like 30 minutes.
So how did I do this? I somehow picked up on the hints dropped by this drawing:

which is also my personal way of saying hi to FA every day... _x
but the sheer clarity from sharp thick black on white is just... amazing to me. Thus, to SPEEDdoodle:
•Use a thick black line, thick in proportion to the canvas
•immediately draw. Don't prelim sketch and then ink over. And don't erase lines that are semi-close to what you wanted. Those semi-close lines will have their own ideas about what you should be drawing, and they'll surprise you if you roll with them
•If you need to, pause between strokes, make strokes shorter, and make them slower by all means please make them slower
•Flatcolor on with no effects, a big brush, and don't intend to be accurate. The color will come out of you on its own. It's okay if you don't stay within the lines, as long as you're semi-in like with the drawing part.
My gosh, what a revelation. Expect coolarts, hawtarts, funarts, and freedomarts more often from me now that I learned this. :3

let me rephrase that *facepaw* I can be so dunce sometimes... Thank you :> the art itself is honestly pretty bleah to me, but the lesson learned is what makes it worth uploading and sharing... I get the inkling I need to write a letter to someone now, I dunno who though... *shrug!* c:
