Hmm... since I've been putting so much time into making a new gallery for my web site, it's been a while since I've uploaded something to FA. So I'll add another oldie but goodie to keep you guys busy.
Asside from her old hairstyle, this is probably the best rendition of Tawny I've ever made. Not bad for a 6+ hour oekaki.

In this picture, the glow effects were all done with the airbrush tool, and a lot of trial and error. I'm not sure what kind of tips I can offer, except that a tablet helps a lot, and just make sure you don't overdo the effect. Bleeding out black lines makes the glow look stronger than trying to fill in the background area.
BTW: You can make a awesome "glow" effect for a lightsaber or other light source real easy.
Draw (or leave) an area white; edge it with your "glow" color. Select the lot and expand the selection by a few pixels.
Add blur.
Expand again, add another blur.
Just have to experiment until you get it right.
