This one was the hardest of the 3 russian tanks I just completed. This one in the "lime" color. This is the Isu-122 which I found is much different then the su-122 which was a mobil howitser. This was based off the Is-2 battle tank. This model was made by Zvezda with was a russian model maker, which I thought was intresting. It was a bit more complacated then the Tamiya models though there was english in the instructions as well. The decals bit the dust cause of age *I got the model opened but complete* so I used some leftover Tamiya decals since the only thing it had was the number 15. Once again, its shiny cause of cheap paint and I'm too busted to get pro-paint :P

Wow Anna! I didn't know you were a modeler! I mostly did German in the WWII stuff, then I switched over to Napoleonic wargaming... I still have a cedar chest full of lead 15mm soldiers. In fact, I've got every Anglo-Dutch unit that took part in the battle of Waterloo down there... I don't play with 'em any more, but I can't part with 'em either.
Nice job on this Sov assault gun!

Thanks, I always loved models, but I was afraid of glue. Then I got into the 1:32 toys, witch are just bearly more stredy models. I found most of the toys selection were lacking in the tank models I wanted, so I bought a panzer I and put it together, (still the hardest one yet) and it was fun ^.^
Hey, Sailor.
Nice work on the IS and the KV some of the lesser know soviet WWII models. If you really want to get decals for them you can email Tamiya or the other company for em. I had to do that once or twice with some Revell models I once did. I thik there is a fee but mostly it is postage. Or you can do book research for period painting and just Paint decals :) See what kind of hand you have for that!

hehe I tried that with a us star on my bulldog. First I tried by hand and then by stincel and both failed horribly. I have to use liquid paintbrush paints, cause I can afford/dont know how to airbrush :P I might look into decals though, but I thought tamiya's site was in japanese o.o
