So I had the urge to draw RangerTaur, except I wanted to try something along the lines of THIS where the Taur body is a lot larger than the anthro part.
Unfortunately though, due to several fuckups with the computer, the canvas I spent over 2 hours on was lost. Despite the loss, I decided to draw the picture again anyway but not bother spending ages trying to get the tauric body right, which just resulted in a regular sized RangerTaur.
I might try it again tomorrow when I'm not in such a bleh mood about the lost canvas. So yeah, G'Night.
PS. I really wish SAI had a way to recover lost shit.
PSS: I'm still terrible with feral anatomy too...Must...Learn...Moar...

Considering you seem to be under the impression that you didn't accomplish your goal, I find the pleasant discongruity between the scale of Ranger's upper half and lower half rather surprising! It's true that it's not as exaggerated as it is in the picture you linked as your "inspiration", and it'd be easy to chalk some of it up to the simple fact that a feral body is somewhat longer than a morphic one, but - I dunno. To me, it looks very fitting and very good. Sorry to hear about the lost canvas, though,
Unfortunately, I am thoroughly unaware of any backup/recovery tools for SAI, so beyond suggesting the obvious and unhelpful "more frequent saves" solution, I can't help ya there. As for this picture, I think what I like the most about it (besides the obvious awesomness of Rangertaur!) is the dichotomy of the lower body's pose contrasted with the upper body's pose. The lower body looks primed and ready to pounce and in general appears very "aggressive", but then the eye follows it up to Ranger's morphic half and suddenly it seems like he's just being silly - based on the half-joking curl of the claws and the non-inflected 'rawr'. Even then, though, there's something about those eyes - there's just enough vagueness in them to cast doubt on how serious that 'rawr' is!
In general, I really like your use of space in the picture - Ranger really fills the scene, and thus becomes the scene, in that way that 'taurs are so good at! There's also, jus' plainly-stated, a lot of nice curves to look at - as is often true of your artwork! Anatomically, I actually think the flanks and such of Rangertaur are well-depicted and fit together very well - the biggest issue I can see is just the forelimbs, and how they connect to the body. This is a tricky subject for a lot of people to depict, so don't beat yourself up too much about not having it right quite yet.
Keep on being awesome, Ranger.

Well there is a size difference between the two sections, so you got that part, even if you say otherwise. The pose does put on an impression that he's just being silly, or that might be a tactic to confuse the prey in order to pounce and capture it easier. Either way, still awesome :D . Still, after straining my head to come up with a comment reflecting on how great this picture is, I can still sayyyerrrrrrr...
