There are a lot of artists who inspire me but
and
are two of the strongest female influences on me. Such crisp lineart, such clever colouring techniques and both really lovely people too.
I've learnt soo much just by looking through their galleries, so heres a little pic kinda reflecting that.
Me learning how to do snow angels by watching the two older girl cubs and then trying to do the same as them. one day i'd like to think my artwork will be up in that sort of talent bracket. Gotta keep practicing.
Also this pic was a pain to do, awkward angles which i found super challenging (for example I tried to make it look like nekos tail was actually half on the snow and half up in the air, but not sure I managed that) and disturbed snow is much trickier to draw than I anticipated
And also also... this pic totally reminds me of a real memory when I was about 3 these two much older girls (they must have been about 10-11 ish) came and asked my mum if they could take me out sledging. My mum put me in one of those all-in-one snow suits and my red wellies and the girls took me to a nearby hill. We had brought biscuit tin lids to use as sledges (theyre the best kind of sledge) and I was feeling really excited cause i had never sledged before. One of the girls asked if I wanted to go down the hill by myself and I nodded cause I wanted to be a big girl and so the girl pushed me down the hill and well..I ended up flying off the tin lid and ended up upside down burried in snow, both wellies flung off my feet and we couldn't find one of them, and so they took me home cause I was crying and all the way home they kept trying to bribe me to not tell my mum what had happened. LOL Its one of my earliest memories. Its strange what you remember and what you dont.

Kalida and Berry are my two big art influences too. I would say Berry is the reason I got into drawing in the first place. I wanted to give her a thank you picture for all the gift art she had done for me.
And I can't tell you how many pointers Kalida has given me with making art. She's always helpful, willing to redline stuff or show you a line you might want to use for the background's perspective.
And you've drawn them here quite well. I adore the hat you've given Kali... ^_^

kammy, youre another female artist who also inspires me quite a lot, being honest, not in colouring or drawing technique (although more often than not your backgrounds and details are way better than mine) , but the wonderful concepts you come up with and how when I look at your work I can see the soul and heart in your work and that truely captivates me. Plus that you just keep getting better and better.
Wow this looks super good! Gem I think your art has been leaping and bounding ahead, and I agree that those two are definitely worthy of learning from.
Look at that snow! What color is snow? White of course ... no wait, it's gray, because if you start with white you can't highlight anything, and that's just exactly what you already know and are doing here. :) The snow looks awesome!
I love the bit of intrinsic humor here in the scene, where Gem wants to reach for what the big girls are doing but as long as she's doing that she's only making half a snow angel. I guess there's probably some kind of message there too but I'm feeling too sleepy to point at it right now. :)
I also love how you're adding information to the picture with the crisp border of the shading you're doing. I try to do that but I'm not very good at it. Practice practice ...
Everybody has cool patterns on their snow outfits! :)

I think what amazes me most is that when you do those sketch commissions you manage to churn all 10 out in under 24 hours. That just confounds me completely that you can produce such quality work so quickly, you really do seem to have a lot of time for people and well I just think yoor fab
