.... and here i thought that type of clown was only found in DC... no wonder the banner looked familiar to me, i think i've seen some commissions by him on Deviantart too, though i'm not for sure. that's a bunch of bullshit... if someone works hard in a contest the least people can do is to make it fair.

See, I usually mentally run stuff like this through a couple checkpoints. "Is this of any real consequence?" "Does it have a negative affect on me personally?" If the answer to both these questions is no, I just say whatever, and walk away. Saves me a whole lot of drama and frustration and I'm a much happier person for it.

While this is true initially, its still what most of society is suffering, the whole "Me world" if it doesn't effect me why should I care?

I'm afraid I don't want to live that selfishly, and I have a strong sense of social justice, if not a good handle on how to express it, but I rather point out bullshit when I see it instead of stick my head in the sand and let garbage pile up around me.

That's where the "Is this of any real consequence?" part comes in. Some random being in a banner on a furry website? Not really. There are more important things to get worked up over than this.

Technically nothing is of real consequence on the internet, it doesn't effect your real life, its not doing anything for your job, its not feeding you..But its still a social area. and when dealing with people you have to take a stance on something they say or do regardless if its on the net or not.

If you choose not to get involved,hey all the power too you I guess, but that's a sort of cop out in my view and I would rather bring up bullshit when I see it instead of deciding to pass by everything. the only real difference about something this small that someone is doing online compared to RL is this is furry related, and a lot of people want to be in a trendy boat of "furry stuff is stupid and unimportant." True, its not too important, but if this was shit going on at say, deviant art, or some local artists get together, I'd still bring this shit up. People are people no matter what and should be dealt with accordingly.

Actually FA donated a spot in a banner to a charity auction a couple years ago, and Secret won it. But hey, screw the truth; rumors are fun!

Well, that's a more level-headed response than I thought I was going to get. But the fact still stands that you're trashing on someone based on hearsay and have further shat on his reputation via the sheep that are repeating what you repeated to them, especially when this wasted energy could have been used to make fun of Allan or Mike Hirtes or any of the other multitudes of furfag drama whores that actually deserve getting shat on.

Well now that we are going to play this, I'm simply going to say that I've met him now and then, heard what he's done, and a series of other things, and I have deduced that he is INDEED, a furfag, of a rather heinous level. I've watch him brush off other people in a conversation to just specifically brown nose to artists he wants the attention of. This is not appropriate behavior to gain any form of respect from others. In fact I've BEEN one of said people that have been around an artist friend, and seen this guy in action as he brushed me off when i'm being friendly just cuz this dude was talking to a friend of mine. so no, he deserves what he gets. This isn't simply hear-say, its direct evidence witnessed by me.

That being said, the banner event may or may not be incorrect with what I've gathered, but all information is important, I've simply put together pieces I've compiled from the majority of people and from what i've seen it makes sense to me. its not slander, its repeating information.

Well, I can't speak for his behavior in person as I've not met him in person, and if that's the impression you got from him, I'm not gonna waste my time trying to play defense. All I can go by is how he's treated me, and he's been nothing but a nice guy to me and I've not witnessed said events myself.

Well the problem is you are a somewhat known personality in the fandom with at least SOME links to higher ranking artists and what not, you fit into his MO for people to be friendly with, so I'm not at all surprised how he treats you.

Now I'm not trying to wedge any friendship you have with the guy, just repeating what I know and have seen. So don't worry about my opinion if you think I'm shady about this.

I understand, and while yes, it won't affect my friendship, I wouldn't try to persuade you with information i don't have. I do try to avoid having it out with people.
