He certainly has the pterodactyl/heron traits, I can definitely see that. :)
I really like this texture and colour, and the stretchy detail of his wings. If you were to keep in pencil scratches, occasional written scribblings, and on the side round coffee stain, this would look like it came from a researcher's journal. :3
