Ra's Al Ghul and Thalia
One of the most powerfull villains batman has ever faced, not just immortal but with 600 years of experience, knowledge, master of martial arts and much more, Ra's has never had any kind of psychological issue or dementia, just a cold hearted man who wants to bring balance to teh force (jk) more like bring perfection to the world with any means necesary, either blow up the world for him is ok.
One thing that i have to "dislike" is that the lazarus pit stuff, where he becomes immortal thanks to it, BUT what i find interesting is that there might be a possibility that there's a lot of ra's al ghuls all over the world, liek decoy after decoy after decoy and so on, wich makes the name immortal, not the man, but that's just me, but would be very realistic instead of one guy who is immortal but meh, you know hoe comics are :p.
So this is a pic with Thalia holding Batman's suit as his defeat or more like defeat of the symbol but not the man behind the mask.

I also dislike using more supernatural elements in Batman stories, but Ra's Al Ghul is such an incridbly well-written and engaging villain that I'm willing to overlook it in his case. The same forgiveness does not apply when Batman teams up with, say, Zatanna to hunt down a wizard. No. Not even if it was a mobster wizard, though that is untapped well-spring of awesome.

Ra's Al Ghul, everyone's favorite immortal expy for Fu Manchu.
I really love Ra's.He's probably one of my favorite Batman villains.
I also loved his apperance in Arkham City...and how it implied the Lazarus Pit has some...interesting side effects.Well, it would explain his bouts of motive decay.

I See Ras as a man desperate to turn back the clock. Think about it. Six hundred years ago, he discovers a way to live forever, but he's completely powerless to stop the flow of time. The world has changed too much around him, and he has come to dislike it, but addicted to the allure of Lazarus and immortal life, he doesn't want to give that up...so he uses his skills, his wealth, and his influence in an attempt to force the world to change back to his liking, whatever means necessary.
He's an interesting foil to Batman in that he's most definitely not crazy and is decidedly much more experienced and skilled both mentally and physically.
