The coloring adds a lot to it, I think. The whole underlighting thing from the whole turned out pretty nifty looking...must get pretty hot down there, though, to be putting out that kinda glow.

I'm thinking it's been hanging out in lava. Perhaps it popped it's head up to cool off a bit. All I know is, I don't wanna be anywhere near it. =P

The colouring turned out rather well, with the glowy and the feeling of heat coming off the pit he seems to be popping out of. Though he looks less sinuous and more shiny or glossy, this way. Not that that's a bad thing. And glowy eyes are cool.

I'm not sure what you mean about him looking less sinuous. Sinuous things can be shiny and glossy.

But yeah, I had fun with the glowy and heat. =P

Well, I'm not sure, he just looks less... slinky, I guess. I'm sure he can still move just as slinkily and such as any snake, it just alters the whole feel of it with the shiny. ...course, seeing a shiny critter like this move in such a manner would still be cool. ...not that I wanna be anywhere near it when it's moving around or anything. :P

And it's not detracting from the image at all, it's a great colouring job. I just get rambly sometimes. :P

Very awesome looking critter you've come up with there Trile. Lava critters are cool, and you can almost feel the heat he's putting out. And those jaws are just nasty...looks really vicious.
