Well ... it's only kinda sorta a tutorial. More like a guide to help people figure out how faces ARE if they can only draw one or the other, but this is mostly for people having trouble with anthros.
Was talking to
when it came up, and I thought I had one already made but I couldn't find it on this computer so I just made a new one.
I hope this helps. A little. Kinda. maybe. probably not. blah

Hmm never really thought of it as such. Our faces and other mammals' faces having that similar structuring. Kind of helps me with my reworking of the way I draw faces currently. The stairstep face has just kind of become boring mainly from how commonplace it is and it seems to make characters seem to look too similar sometimes.
Anyways thanks for this tutorial.

It really does, I've been noticing it more and more lately. And so many GOOD artists do it in a very severe fashion. I guesssss some people like it, and I can see why, but ... it's just baffling to me. xD I find that a style develops best when you learn from real life FIRST and then translate it as you will instead of just yoinked already established stylistic elements(which that is).
And thanks/you're welcome! :> <3

I'm not sure I've learned anything I didn't know already from this, but I liked seeing it all the same. :D I've waaay more trouble drawing human faces than anthro ones, though. Like... I can squish a critter face into mostly the same proportions as a human one, but if I start dealing with eyebrows and noses and lips ALL IN one thing I derp.
Staircaseface is hilarious.

Haha thank you! :> Even being the one that drew this, it's always good to kinda remind yourself of things like this. xD
And hah, yeah. Human faces are a totally serious anomaly of ALL THINGS. I find drawing a skull as an exercise helps. Or using the Hands for Drawing feature on Posemaniacs, it has a nice human head to draw at any angle you want! 8D
