It's fun up until you realise one of them has bust. That's when you make someone else check all the bulbs whilst you sit back and wait just to stare at the lights.

Or you could be boring like me and just have a tree this year. Every passing family member always insists on MORE DECORATIONS, and by the end of it, it's like living in a jungle of lights and green wiring. Being lazy should be a VIRTUE. >:3

Tangled up Christmas tree lights are the only way to medicate my latent borderline obsessive compulsive disorder.

They're like video games for me. I could probably spend hours on them. No breaks. No movement. No blinking. Just a constant state of me staring and working at untangling them for that minor little bit of pay off for when they're all straightened out and good as new.

Until you discover that, in the process of untangling the lights, you accidentally broke one. And now you have to throw it away and buy a now one.

The joy is in the untangling.

Even if they didn't work in the first place.
