My first entry for the Deadliest JABster drawing jam over in the jabcomix forums, where we pit members of the site against each other in a brutal blow by blow fight to the death. >:)
Telgar. A powerful dragon lord that has cheated death many times before.
Smut. A fearsome monster with a taste for young ladies.
Who
Is
DEADLIEST?
To find out, one nerd with WAY too many ideas in his head will pit these two Jabbers together in a simulated fight to the death. Using his own artistic take on their online personas, and information and qualifications gathered from questionaires, art jams, and past events in the forums, he will compare their abilities and weaknesses against each other to determine who is...The Deadliest Jabber.
TELGAR:
Dragon.
Variable Height
Ability to Fly and Breathe Fire
Skilled Dragon Magician
Telgar is a true dragon, a creature of ancient and powerful magic. He can alter his size, becoming either more humanoid or more Dragon-like in shape and appearance depending on the situation. His skin is incredibly resilient, and he has shown a remarkable capacity for healing from even the most grievous wounds. His most powerful asset is his fire breath, the signature attack of the Dragon, and his ability to fly.
Telgar has long been a warrior in the city of JABville. In the GvsE War he fought on the side of the Good Guys and was killed several times, repeatedly healing from his apparently deadly wounds to fight on. He's been decapitated, disemboweled, and had a lightsaber plunged through his head, and still he's continued to fight on.
SMUT:
Monster
7'
Monster Strength and Savage Fangs and Claws
Massively strong and shockingly fast and agile, Smut is capable of ripping an opponent open in a single swipe of his powerful claws. His huge mouth is full of nothing but dagger-like fangs in jaws powerful enough to snap right through a lamp post. His dripping saliva is a cocktail of bacteria that can kill a grown man in a matter of minutes if it gets into his blood.
Smut the Monster is a relative new comer to the city of JABville. He doesn't make many appearances in town, preferring the wilds of his woodland home outside the city. He has made a few close friends, however, and his occasional contributions to the city are always a pleasure. Though he tries to fit in with civilized peoples, he is still a Monster at heart. When the need arises he succumbs to his savage nature, lashing out like the killer beast he is.
THE FIGHT:
Telgar makes the first move, attempting to use a glamour to confuse his opponent. Smut's Monster mind is unaffected by the mild spell and he grapples with the still manageable Dragon. Taken by surprise by Smut's incredible strength, Telgar goes down hard. Before Smut can capitalize on his advantage Telgar's shape shifts beneath him, becoming bigger and stronger, his magnificent feathered wings coming into view. Telgar throws Smut aside, but the agile Monster twists in mid-air, turning a potentially painful fall into a graceful landing. Telgar takes to the air, flying low in an attempt to ram his large foe. Moving quickly, Smut grabs Telgar around the neck and lunges downward, slamming Telgar's head into the ground. His hard, scaled head is unfazed by the blow as Telgar tuck and rolls, whipping his tail in a brutal slam across Smut's back. Becoming enraged, Smut growls low in his throat, baring his gleaming fangs as his thick claws spring forth from his massive hands. With unbelievable speed Smut roars and lunges at Telgar, his claws raking over his opponent's thickly scaled Dragon hide. What would have been life ending wounds on any other opponent are minor to Telgar, but the Dragon knows his luck won't hold out, and the Monster's savagery and power could eventually find a weakness. Taking quickly to the air, Telgar flies high above Smut's reach. The Monster roars in anger, too caught up in his rage to realize what's about to happen until it's too late. Wheeling back around Telgar takes a pass over the furious Monster and lets loose with his fire breath. Smut's thick coat of shaggy green fur goes up like kindling, and with roars of rage and pain the Monster falls to the Dragon.
WINNER: TELGAR!
