These are an interesting type of flavord sugar cookie, like my last cookie if you met me at AC you probably have tasted this cookie
In the past I have made them in the flavors of Sour apple, peach, grape, cherry, strawberry, and watermelon
Sour apple was the big hit but alas I can no longer make it
this batch is cherry and lemon/lime I had ment to do a yellow and gree patter on the lemon lime cookies but didn't have enough butter to make the 2 batches I needed.
now onto the recipe
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter (3 sticks)
1 cup sugar
2 packages flavored gelatine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
mix flour and baking powder in medium bowl
In a separate bowl use electric mixer to beat butter to soften
Gradually add sugar and most gelatine (set aside a small amount) beating until fluffy
Beat int egg and vanilla
gradually add flour
shape dough into 1 inch balls and flatten with the bottom of a drinking glass
sprinkle with additional gelatine
bake for 10 to 12 minutes or till edges are lightly browned.
let cool on wire rack

Just finished my batch, I used a banana-strawberry flavor and they came out great, the most I have is that I learned there was some huge diferrences in ovens here. In mine the cookies got burnt if left in for as little as 8 minutes, it was only slight burning along the edges and they still taste great and the final tray was put in for 6 minutes and came out perfect. Definitely a great recipe!
