Sakai Jironato, second son of Sakai Matsuo, a swordsmith, dons his father's armor cermonially. From a young age, Jironato showed an adeptness with a blade seldom seen, and later it was attributed to his ambidextrousness. At the age of seventeen, the young gray fox was taken in by the Hazakuro clan as a secondary sword instructor.
New style of coloring for me, and I really like it. The background is compliments of the incredible Hokusai, and has fallen into the public domain, allowing me to use it in this image.

Beautiful! The textures and patterns you've given the armor, the shoulder straps, the shoulder/arm guards, the flowing cloth of the sleeves... and, I mean, LOOK AT THAT SASH worn around his middle! For a relatively minor detail, that's exquisite!
I stand in awe.

Good god, Mitch, you never let me down on amazing me. I love the armor on this guy as always the detail is brilliant.
I've always loved how you draw armor, even when we were RPing Redwall it was an amazing thing to see your work.
Never give up and keep up the outstanding work.
