Model sheet commission: Punktiger.
punktiger wanted a model sheet commission, which seemed like a simple request given that I'd known him awhile and drawn his avatar at least a few times.However, after starting it and submitting the body ref, which was a standard unposed turnaround like I've done for others, I was unhappy with the current product. Then it sorta hit me. I was drawing a character named PunkTiger, in a stiff, expressionless manner. It didn't fit the character, and was nothing like my other drawings of him that had at least had *some* life to it.
I discussed it with PT a bit more, and we agreed on a toonier attempt...it's always good to have customers who also like classic animation I loosened up, well, everything quite a bit, and he's more fun with more personality. I'm muuuuch happier with the result. And fortunately PT is too!

So much hilarity (and cuteness) here! His age...the fact he's a punk rocker who plays the--balalaika?! (Nothing against the instrument, it's actually quite cool, but the contrast there is a bit ridiculous, which I suspect is the point.) And those cute, Puss in Boots eyes!

*heh* The naming conventions in Southpaw are a little unusual. For instance, Punk's friend, Toshiro Kitsune, was born at St. Mervyn The-Somewhat-Divine-on-the-Hill Hospital.
And the balalaika is a perfect punk instrument... especially when it can sound like this or this (because we all know punkers love to speed up things).

Naivelion: Yeah! It's so ridiculous! Almost as ridiculous as responding to every single possible submission ever, with a braided mane and a dick that measures 52 inches long :D
