We all want our beloved pets to live forever, and they do live forever in our hearts. In that way, they have eternal youth in our memory. Dun worry, this pup is still around!
This is a 2.5" X 3.5" acrylic pet portrait for Canine Hybrid of her dog Charlie! He's like a real Colorado pup, a dog after my own heart. I have four more of these small paintings to upload, but they have to wait till they've been given as gifts so I don't spoil any surprises!

I thought I recognized this lovely muffy face! <3 <3 It's a Charlie boo~!!!! He's such a wonderful and very lovely dog. Every time I got to visit
caninehybrid's place, I would give so much love to Charlie. Yes I agree! He might be getting old but he'll always be young from the heart and soul. :3 This was such a lovely surprise and I hope she'll love it!

I love this! You can really see the dog's personality shining through. :) I am also astounded by how bright and detailed your traditional media comes out. I thought it was digital at first. I have noticed in some artists there is sort of a disconnect between the traditional and digital styles. Not so with your work! You are very skilled. :)
How much does a pet portrait like this run? I didn't notice a category for them on your site.

Thank you so much! I enjoy working with acrylics a lot, it's very similar to how I've been working digitally lately, so it's not much more of a stretch. Plus I get to bust out the TEENY BRUSHES for paintings this small! XD
These were a special holiday deal at $70 each that I offered, but the slots didn't all fill so I closed them. If I did more in the future that weren't special holiday deals, something like this would be around $110.

I really, really love the way you paint. I can't wait to see what you did for the other ACEO commissions as well.
By the way, what size brush did you use for the fur? I have some small brushes myself, but I could never get my acrylics-only fur to look as clean as the fur here. I don't know if I need to buy some smaller brushes or if I just need to practice with acrylics more. >>
