spectra-suiting and myself helped The Beagle Rescue League out with pictures with Santa Paws! It was our job to stand outside with signs and garner as much attention as possible! We were a hit with children, adults and even the dogs! *except one, but she was older hound* We had a lot of fun playing with all the doggies and got lots of waves and honks from the passing cars. We had our own personal signs and even brought along candy canes that we gave out to the children.
The event was held at the Pet Value on Egypt Rd in Norristown, PA. For a $5 donation your pet could have his or her picture with Santa Paws! All donations benefited the Beagle Rescue League who help retired medical dogs find homes after their two years of service. These dogs are very loveable and help in our fight against cancer. The organizers and fellow volunteers really enjoyed our company and were extremely grateful for our time. They thanked us so much for giving up our weekend I swear my fursuit was blushing. It was this Huskies personal honor to be of any help I could and I for one do not feel I "gave up" my Saturday. There are too many great animals out there who need a forever homes, even more so in these hard economical times, and if me spending my Saturday out in the cold helped even just ONE dog then it was all worth it.
The Beagle pictured here is Satch, and he is one of the "Lab to Leash" beagles up for adoption. He is a great dog.
