About this time last year, I made a friend not expected
Zealousl was I to harbor this new found companioship
Unsure was I on how to show my appreciation
Rest assured, these words come as mediation
Expressing my thanks to this certain person

Corteous first comes to mind to describe her mannerisms
Over time, laughter will be the result of many conversations
Yearning to get to know you better is what she will display
Often these exchanges will be had day by day
The smile she wears on her face when we meet, is
Enough to make life that much more sweet
