Its a phobia... She'd shake, turn pale, hyperventilate, and scream just from KNOWING you're nearby. then again a sentient walking talking turtle with an extra might be easier for her to accept then a normal one.

I think the fact he's bipedal and capable of speaking would get her to hesitate. hances are the conversation would be short cause she would rocket away screaming and flailing. its an intense phobia... Ponies heckle her about it fairly often.
