Archaeologist Janet Blaize, PhD, was a temperamental female genet role-playing character who, alas, saw only a couple of brief scenes before the role-playing environment went away. As part of her write-up, I did a few sketches, including this one. “Ammunition carrier” is a style of light to medium military truck that became obsolete in the sixties; it was just being phased out in the role-playing setting.
This is one of my favorite pieces of semi-finished work, and every detail was considered carefully. It’s a mid-engine design that can be switched from two-wheel to four-wheel drive. In two-wheel drive, either axle can be driven. There’s a more complete description on my own Web site.
