Makanshi is a re-occurring character from my Alesia series. She, herself, is a demon of sorts - much larger than many of the other characters, very strong and with the ability to drain the life-force from others. The latter ability she uses to heal herself and stay perpetually the same age. No one is exactly sure how old she is - but sightings have persisted for generations.
