yeah it seems that furries tend to go for trends (for example: dubstep)
hip hop and trip hop, hell even glitch barely gets real notice around here. whenever I see music progressing I see it progress through more textural genres like such
I dunno I think you can apply the trends to the general public
for instance how you start hearing more house/electro and even dubstep play on stations more while its been around for years

I, Sy, won't lie, I've had the occasion where I've had the urge to - and have - produced more "trendy" genres.
But this is where my heart and mind will always be.
I find it funny that you bring up Glitch, we're working out a track with a glitch.. feel? texture? Style works I suppose.
I know of some producers that apply the trends with their own style really well (ie. Glitch Mob); we need more of that on the radio. I'm quite tired of listening to these poorly produced pieces - Selena Gomez haunts my every waking moment; Rihanna's "We Found Love" haunts the sleeping ones.
But this is where my heart and mind will always be.
