the circuitry and subsystems must be pretty robust to handle energy manipulation and levels on that scale, the soulroid is probably well versed in self maintenance as well, and it's subconscious subroutines must keep constant track of energy levels, especially during combat.
If I remember correctly the orb puts out an enormous amount of energy, roughly about the magnitude of a young sun, not inexhaustible, but still very considerable and is made of materials that are very rare or synthetic.

Those that constructed the soulroids are very advanced to say the least, but also the greatest threat to the soulroids as well.

can be a willing soul or one taken form one of the multiple afterlife realms or even the undead dimmension (as we would call it) and artificial soul has only happen once and it was an accident

One last question, are there redudandant subsystems in place? like for instance if the roid is almost destroyed by some powerful enemy or another roid, will the subsystems activate and shunt the soul's control aside to repair itself, or move the roid to safety to repair itself or even act while the soul is offline or unconscious.

some times yes they do have back up systems that over ride the soul and act as an immediate deffense system

most of the time no but recent events are making them put asside their diffrences after all the 2 super races were both created for the same purpose and as for soulroids the tend not to like being around another of their kind they are solitary by nature cause their fields of absorbtion conflict with each other
