I asked SuperStinkWarrior to do this sketch as a free request for a Livestream session he was doing at the time. I gave him some original Disney model sheets I found online for reference. This was difficult for him and it took him almost an hour to draw. Still, I think it was worth it.
This shows Lady and the Tramp as anthros. Despite the time constraint, he was able to put in some personality into it. The way they are holding each other, messing around with the fur, even the cigarette the Tramp is holding (I find it appropriate for his character and the time this film was made). This is sweet and I think it kind of captures the spirit of the movie.
Check out the out this and the other drawings he did during that night. Fave it there if you want: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7073054/

It reminds me of this cut sequence that was in the original movie. In which Tramp fantasized over what it would be like if humans and dogs switched places. While the sequence only exists in storyboard form, the designs seen here are smiler to those from the story board. Complete with the Tramp smoking a cig (Movie was made in 1955 and set in 1911...you are right in it being appropriate in both ways)
wonderful peace.
