Species suggestions:
-honey badger
-wolverine
-mountain lion
-houndoom
-pikachu (Probably this one, because it is technically the child of a raichu. Or raichus, depending on if Dimitri and Mitya count as one raichu or two.)
-ferret
-rat
Do any of these sound good?
Also, would it still possess the same memories, regardless of how it's mind was otherwise altered?

Ah, ok, so the memories are the same unless they are purposefully modified. But if it's memories can be changed, how would Ronen know to be angry with whoever changed them without it's permission?
Also, pardon me, but 'polemic'? I don't mean to sound rude, but did you mean to type that? And if you did, could you tell me what it means?

Polemic
1 a : an aggressive attack on or refutation of the opinions or principles of another b : the art or practice of disputation or controversy —usually used in plural but singular or plural in construction
2 : an aggressive controversialist : disputant
Was supposed to be pokemon... Stupid autocorrect. But I was interested enough to look it up x3
And memory modification is much more complex than switching between preset personalities. Altered memories stick out too, due to their metadata (you know, date last modified, etc) and reduced clarity.

Ok, that makes sense. I hadn't actually thought about it, but now that you mention it, artificial memories probably would be easy to tell from real ones based on quality. As for metadata, I'll have to take your word on that, because I don't know anything about computers.
And sorry if this beginning to sound ridiculous, but what if the theoretical person who altered Ronen's personality removed it's aversion to having it's personality modified without permission?

That's deeper set than personality; the personality modifications are basically switching between presets. To really modify its personality you'd have to be an expert coder, and even then it'd know something was off by the checksum. Dmitri and Mitya would notice too, anyway.
Ah, presets, got it. But wouldn't it make sense (If sense is the correct word for modifying someone's personality. I suspect it is not.) to have a program that allowed you to generate and/or customize a new personality with ease? I ask only for the sake of completeness. Also, you once said that Dimitri regularly modified his own personality, so wouldn't he have something like that anyway?
Thank you. I was trying to say sliders, but my mind wouldn't let me think of the word! That actually seems like something that would be fun to mess around with, so long as you had a backup of your personality. Which Dimitri and Ronen do. HUZZAH!
Also, why did Dimitri and Mitya decide to name it Ronen? Any particular significance to the name? For that matter, Why did they decide to have a child (sorta) in the first place?

Well, 'Ronen' sounds a bit like 'ronin', which apparently is the word for a samurai with no master. Also this (let me know if I posted this link incorrectly please.): http://wiki.paradoxmod.com/index.ph.....le=Steel_Ronin
Maybe you could work in some kind of reference to that?
Also, how does a test AI spiral into having a child? I mean I can understand them taking it as their child if they didn't mean for it to become sentient, but, not to be insulting or anything, it shouldn't have come to that if they were being careful.
(GAH! Sorry about the double post, I was in a hurry.)
(Double GAH! Sorry!)

Ronen is Hebrew for 'joy'; I chose Hebrew because they were the first culture to come up with the idea of artificial humans.
It became sentient because while Mitya used it to test bodies, Dmitri also practiced writing AIs with it, and eventually they decided it had become too sentient to continue using for tests, and began actively working to make it's person, so to speak.
