Hey there everybody! =D Second to last part of this chapter of Double Act!
The thing you've been waiting for has fianlly happen... IT'S TIME TO RUMBLE!!! Kaito vs Petie, Rose vs Nanami! Who will win? Our magical girl (and baby) heroes or the deep sea power of Team Leviathan? It's time for the rumble in the garden1 FIGHT!!!

The ref shouted begin and the match started full blast… a Water Pulse from Nanami nailed Petie and sent him flying in a wake of petals as Kaito chased after him. “Teddy-Chan!” Rose shouted, turning on her heels to follow… only to be full body tackled by Nanami before she could take a step. The move was sloppy and didn’t hurt the kangaskhan… but it did knock her off balance and sent the two tumbling. Rose growled and socked the milotic hard in the nose with a Thunderpunch, knocking Nanami off and jumped to her feet.
Nanami whipped a thin stream of water around her as Aqua Ring activated. The two eyed each other. Neither made a move, both trying to scout their opponent for any openings and not finding any… till a familiar cry drew Rose’s attention away from Nanami as she heard Petie cry out in fear. The second she looked away a jet of steaming hot water struck her hard, sending her skidding back.
Nanami chuckled as the Scald struck Rose “This is why you’re going to lose, now that we’ve separated you two your stupid devotion to your step-brother will be the death of” she was cut off by Katio’s cry of pain “Kaito!!” and received another Thunderpunch to the nose as she looked away knocking her flat on her butt. “You talk too much.” Rose said, clenching her fists as Nanami jumped back to her feet holding her nose and glaring hate at the kangaskhan.
“Game on then Bitch…” the milotic spat, the Aqua Ring restoring a little of her health “We’ll see who the strong big sisWHOAH” she hit the ground and tumbled to avoid the Comet Punch combo as Rose nearly rearranged her teeth “… damn, I do talk too much.” she muttered blasting a Water Pulse at Rose’s back. Rose just turned on her heels and plowed straight through it throwing another punching combo as Nanami used her serpentine like body to dodge and return fire with her water attacks.

Petie struggled to jump to his feet the moment he stopped skidding and regain his bearings. He couldn’t get a fix on where Rose was, meaning she must be behind him somewhere in the field… but he COULD see Kaito barreling down on him as fast as a shellfish could, which admittedly wasn’t too fast. Regaining his footing, and trying to ignore the flowers tickling his bare legs, Petie assumed a fighting stance. It looked like he’d actually have time to figure out a good strategy with how slowly Kaito was running…
Suddenly Kaito’s body glowed bright white and red cracks ran through it like a mirror being broken, before Petie could figure out what was happening the white glow shattered off of the omanyte like it was an outer layer… and Kaito was suddenly moving a LOT faster. Petie squeaked and dove into the flowers as Kaito sailed over him. Petie’s size made hiding in the flowers amazingly easy so he just lay there perfectly still hoping Katio’s little crash had made him lose track of where the teddiursa was… an amazingly high powered water gun blasting away a good row of flowers not a inch from his nose told him Kaito hadn’t.
Throwing himself back to his feet Petie charged at Kaito full speed… and was met head on by the omanyte sending them both sprawling backwards on their asses. Petie was just grateful he was short enough he hadn’t actually collided head to head with Kaito and that shell helmet… which he could swear looked smaller for some reason. He didn’t get a chance to think about it as Kaito jumped him again.
Neither of the two were using moves at the moment. It was more a slap fight then a brawl but the look of confusion on Petie’s face at Kaito’s sudden speed and strength boost was obvious enough the squid commented “Shell Smash.” as he attempted to punch Petie in the nose. This set off bells in the teddiursa’s head as he knew enough to know that it meant Kaito has traded defense for offense and speed… meaning it was time for some offense of his own.
“KIYAAA!!!” he squeaked, sounding far less intimidating then he’d hoped, as he unleashed a Fury Swipes onto Kaito who just raised his arms and brought his tentacles up in the way to defend. In the back of his mind Petie wondered two things as he slashed at the omanyte. One was why he wasn’t doing anything other than taking the attack, and two… why his shell helmet was glowing brighter with each strike? As his fifth Fury Swipe hit, the glowing helmet exploded in a brief flash of light blinding Petie for a moment. When he opened his eyes again he saw… Kaito’s huge oversized helmet was much, much smaller.
Petie mentally tried to compute what this meant… as Kaito performed a matrix style backflip clean over his head landing behind the bear, saying two words as he landed “Weak Armor.” Petie’s brain connected those words to the lesson on abilities he’d been taught recently in class. It was an ability that traded defense for speed every time… you were… hit… Petie had enough time to squeak in fear before he was blasted by a much, much faster Water Gun and sent flying.

“Damn it why won’t you stay poisoned!?”
“Well why won’t YOU stay hurt!?”
The two girls were locked in intense combat, with most of the males in the audience cheering them on if not howling. Rose’s muscles bulged under her wetsuit from several Work Ups. While Nanami’s Aqua Ring was still up and her Safeguard glow still show despite the lingering shine of her latest Recover. Despite their best efforts neither one had managed to make any headway against the other. Every successful attack Rose landed was nullified by Nanami’s Aqua Ring and Recover and all the slow damage from Toxic and the moves Nanami had dealt were rendered useless by Rose’s Rest. The two were locked in an extremely violent stalemate.
“You ever… hear the one… about the unstoppable force” Rose said, between her punches “And the… immovable object?” as Nanami lashed out with another Water Pulse and language that would make a sailor blush “I’ll take that… as a… YES!” the kangaskhan said as she cracked Nanami in the jaw with a Thunderpunch uppercut sending her sprawling. Rose turned just in time to see Petie being sent flying by Kaito’s Water Gun and she gritted her teeth as she started to charge their brawl… only to have Nanami’s tail wrap around her ankle tripping her up “Ah ah ah!” the milotic grinned, getting back to her feet “Let the boys settle their differences on their own…” she suddenly pounced and grabbed Rose grinning wickedly “But let’s see if we can’t lower those defense a little with a Tickle…”
There was much wolf whistling and cheering from the males in the audience (and some girls) till Rose promptly wrapped a hand around Nanami’s neck and proceeded to one hand Comet Punch her teeth in “Not! On! Your! Life!” she said with each punch as the two broke into what could only be described as a wrestling match among the daisies. Nanami’s long serpentine tail and snakelike body gave her an advantage but Rose’s brute strength evened the playing field as the two continued to beat each other silly.
“Get your damn hands off me!!”
“You first! And move your tail away from there!!”

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!” Petie squealed as he dove into the flowers and out of the way of another Rock Blast. Kaito had started alternately spamming Shell Smash along with his other three attacks. Sure it cut his defense down to next to nothing by Petie’s figures but at this point he was too fast and too strong for the teddiursa to even think of a counter tactic besides “Run like his tail was on fire” and even that was having minimal success. He whimpered and crawled through the flowers as flurries of Water Gun, Rock Blast, and Mud Shot blasted around him like something out of a war zone.
So far every one of his attempts to get to Rose had ended with him getting blasted back before he could get within ten feet of her and he was completely out of ideas. He hadn’t heard Rose shout any of her verbal cues on what to do, he didn’t have any strategies, and he didn’t have any moves left to try! His Faint Attack and Fury Swipes couldn’t get close enough, Charm wouldn’t do enough to matter, Attract was worthless, and Counter was a no go since he’d never get close enough! He squealed as he heard the rapid footsteps that meant Kaito was charging him again. Scrambling on all fours like an infant Petie ran for his life keeping low so it’d be harder for Kaito to see him.
As the blasts whizzed past Petie his brain was going a mile a minute in circles. What could he do!? What trick did he have left!? All he had was Rest and he wasn’t like Rose! He didn’t wake up instantly! He would be a sitting duck who could only use sno… THAT WAS IT!!! He got his brainstorm just as Kaito found his aiming skills and a Rock Blast struck Petie square in the back and sent him sprawling as he vanished in the thick blanket of flowers. Katio watched closely for any movement as he slowly approached. After a few moment of stillness he sighed and dusted his hands off.
“Well that takes care of that…”
“Zzzzzzzzzzz…”
“Manaphy damn it.”
He charged over and sure enough laying there on a bed of flowers was Petie glowing softly in his sleep as Rest healed his wounds. Kaito growled and leveled his hands at the teddiursa, preparing to Water Gun him Coup De Gras style. It was far more barbaric then he would have liked but he needed to finish this match. Before he could though Petie let out an agonizingly loud Snore that seemed to shake through Kaito and echo in his shell “Gaaah!!” he groaned, attack forgotten as he clutched the sides of his head and finally noticed Petie’s Silk Scarf bandanna was glowing.
“Snore… normal type move…” he groaned as what this meant dawned on him. Usually he’d be able to weather this attack easily even with the Silk Scarf boosting it… but he’d traded so much defense at this point it was hitting him like a truck. He groaned and try to regain his footing as he aimed his hand at Petie, trying to fire an attack… ANY attack before the teddiursa…
“ZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!”
The horrible sound shook him again and echoed in his shell making his head spin as he staggered, feeling his consciousness fading. His last thoughts were about how cheap a tactic this was for Petie to use… as well as “Sister… I’m sorry…” before he fell face first in the flowers hard. The ref fluttering over to confirm it as Petie slept soundly.
“Kaito Nigirizushi is unable to battle!!!”
“Zzzzzzz…”

Rose winced as Nanami’s fan shaped tail tip smacked her hard in the face as the milotic pulled away from her and sprinted towards the boys as Rose tried to jump to her feet and give chase. Nanami reached them first an in a fit of fury her tail lashed out and Wrapped tight around the still sleeping Petie, squeezing him hard and cutting him off mid snore. Apparently she was looking to get payback for her brothers defeat and planned to squeeze it out of him. Rose paled when she saw this and her reasoning became obvious as barely a second after Nanami started squeezing him Petie started SCREAMING.
One of the first things Momma had told her about Petie was the fact he had a HORRIBLE fear of snakes… to the point of a phobia. This came from an incident when he was little and a supposedly tamed seviper at a petting zoo nearly crushed him to death. Petie could deal with snake morphs like Sammi or Nanami cause they had legs but any naga like snake morph or feral snake sent him into a screaming panic and made him hyperventilate. Rose couldn’t imagine what being crushed like that did to Petie… but judging by his screaming and thrashing he was having a relapse.
“What the hell is your problem…?” Nanami muttered, looking at the wailing teddiursa in wonder… for about three seconds before a enraged Rose slugged her hard in the cheek with a Thunderpunch sending her flying and knocking Petie free from her grip. Rose made a diving grab and caught the bawling teddiursa mid fall and held him close as he sobbed into her coat. She gently rubbed his back for a moment to calm him before slipping him into her pouch and standing back up, slowly turning to face Nanami who was growling and wincing as she rubbed the side of her cheek. The milotic glared hate at her as the lights of the arena and Rose’s hat kept the kangaskhan’s eyes hidden in shadow.
“Fine…” Nanami spat as she got back up, the feeling in her cheek returning thanks to Aqua Ring “Back to the wrestling match th” she stop short when she say the look in Rose’s eyes. Pure undiluted burning fury. Nanami let out a terrified squeak as she remembered how badly she’d messed up the last bully who had made Kaito cry… and she suddenly wondered if this was what it had been like for him. She wondered that all of three seconds before Rose hit her like a tidal wave on steroids.
Nanami dodged, bobbed, weaved, and, she’s not too proud to deny it, ran from the furious kangaskhan as Rose unleashed an unholy combination of Comet Punch, Thunderpunch, and Work Up upon her in a surge of sparking fists and electricity. She gritted her teeth and tried not to cry out in pain as the electricity coursed through her… not to mentioned the punches hurt too. Finally Nanami let out a scream as water exploded from her in Surf, not as an attack but an escape method as she rode her self-made wave as far away from Rose as she could get, clear to the other side of the arena where she collapsed in a gasping heap.
Her body took on a soft glow as Aqua Ring and Recover went to work… but Nanami was sure she couldn’t risk letting Rose get close again since she’d barely gotten out of that one with her tail intact. Getting up on shaky legs she snapped her arm out and hurled a Water Pulse at Rose who ducked out of the way. Without missing a beat she hurled Scald followed closely by a Twister as the kangaskhan was forced to dance and duck out of the way to keep the attacks from hitting her or Petie. Nanami chuckled “Thought so… even without Kaito I got ya beat in range… lets see you try an punch me”
“You talk way too much.”
“Huh?”
Rose had stopped dodging and was instead standing in some kind of pose… feet spread shoulder width apart, arms held dramatically in front of her one pointing at Nanami the other point off to the side “Nanami, you have committed a great evil this day and I will not forgive you for it.” Rose intoned as the milotic, and everybody in the audience, stared at this dumbfounded “You have dared to lay a finger upon my precious baby brother, so in the name of love and justice I punish yBAWHOOOOOOSH!" before Rose could finish her sentence a ball of glowing energy formed in her mouth and EXPLODED out towards Nanami, who reacted accordingly.
“Oh Fuc”
BOOM
The blast of energy struck Nanami and EXPLODED sending her flying along with a torrent of petals from the flowers it destroyed. She tumbled and came to a stop in a heap against the wall as Rose stood there with her hands cupped over her mouth and a blush on her cheeks. She looked more like she’d belched unexpectedly then launched an attack. Petie squirmed a little in the pouch, yawning softly and mumbling “Scuse yu…” before sticking his paw in his mouth and sucking on it, still fast asleep.
Rose was well aware of the fact she only had one ranged attack… so she’d opted to try and learn Hyper Beam over the more expected Giga Impact, but she’d hope to use it as a hand blast or a finger beam. She shook her head and stuck her tongue out. Firing it from her mouth tasted NASTY!! Not to mentioned she’d have a dry throat for who knows how long afterwards. She’d have to work on that…
Meanwhile the ref was checking on Nanami, who was muttering something about pink donphans. After a few moments of checking she cleared her throat “Nanami Nigirizushi is unable to battle! Nanny & Teddy-Chan are the winners!!” she declared at the top of her lungs as she pointed to the two Rose was still trying to get the taste out of her mouth and Petie was fast asleep.
”You hear tha” Rose broke into a coughing fit “t Teddy-chan? We” more coughing as she made a face “Oh that tastes awefull… we won!”
“Zzzzzzzzzz…”
“Oi I need a glass of water…”

Petie could deal with snake morphs like Sammi or Nanami cause they had legs but any naga like snake morph or feral snake sent him into a screaming panic and made him hyperventilate. Rose couldn’t imagine what being crushed like that did to Petie… but judging by his screaming and thrashing he was having a relapse.
“What the hell is your problem…?” Nanami muttered, looking at the wailing teddiursa in wonder… for about three seconds before a enraged Rose slugged her hard in the cheek with a Thunderpunch sending her flying and knocking Petie free from her grip. Rose made a diving grab and caught the bawling teddiursa mid fall and held him close as he sobbed into her coat. She gently rubbed his back for a moment to calm him before slipping him into her pouch and standing back up, slowly turning to face Nanami who was growling and wincing as she rubbed the side of her cheek. The milotic glared hate at her as the lights of the arena and Rose’s hat kept the kangaskhan’s eyes hidden in shadow.
“Fine…” Nanami spat as she got back up, the feeling in her cheek returning thanks to Aqua Ring “Back to the wrestling match th” she stop short when she say the look in Rose’s eyes. Pure undiluted burning fury. Nanami let out a terrified squeak as she remembered how badly she’d messed up the last bully who had made Kaito cry… and she suddenly wondered if this was what it had been like for him. She wondered that all of three seconds before Rose hit her like a tidal wave on steroids.
Nanami dodged, bobbed, weaved, and, she’s not too proud to deny it, ran from the furious kangaskhan as Rose unleashed an unholy combination of Comet Punch, Thunderpunch, and Work Up upon her in a surge of sparking fists and electricity. She gritted her teeth and tried not to cry out in pain as the electricity coursed through her… not to mentioned the punches hurt too. Finally Nanami let out a scream as water exploded from her in Surf, not as an attack but an escape method as she rode her self-made wave as far away from Rose as she could get, clear to the other side of the arena where she collapsed in a gasping heap.
Her body took on a soft glow as Aqua Ring and Recover went to work… but Nanami was sure she couldn’t risk letting Rose get close again since she’d barely gotten out of that one with her tail intact. Getting up on shaky legs she snapped her arm out and hurled a Water Pulse at Rose who ducked out of the way. Without missing a beat she hurled Scald followed closely by a Twister as the kangaskhan was forced to dance and duck out of the way to keep the attacks from hitting her or Petie. Nanami chuckled “Thought so… even without Kaito I got ya beat in range… lets see you try an punch me”
“You talk way too much.”
“Huh?”
Rose had stopped dodging and was instead standing in some kind of pose… feet spread shoulder width apart, arms held dramatically in front of her one pointing at Nanami the other point off to the side “Nanami, you have committed a great evil this day and I will not forgive you for it.” Rose intoned as the milotic, and everybody in the audience, stared at this dumbfounded “You have dared to lay a finger upon my precious baby brother, so in the name of love and justice I punish yBAWHOOOOOOSH!" before Rose could finish her sentence a ball of glowing energy formed in her mouth and EXPLODED out towards Nanami, who reacted accordingly.
“Oh Fuc”
BOOM
The blast of energy struck Nanami and EXPLODED sending her flying along with a torrent of petals from the flowers it destroyed. She tumbled and came to a stop in a heap against the wall as Rose stood there with her hands cupped over her mouth and a blush on her cheeks. She looked more like she’d belched unexpectedly then launched an attack. Petie squirmed a little in the pouch, yawning softly and mumbling “Scuse yu…” before sticking his paw in his mouth and sucking on it, still fast asleep.
Rose was well aware of the fact she only had one ranged attack… so she’d opted to try and learn Hyper Beam over the more expected Giga Impact, but she’d hope to use it as a hand blast or a finger beam. She shook her head and stuck her tongue out. Firing it from her mouth tasted NASTY!! Not to mentioned she’d have a dry throat for who knows how long afterwards. She’d have to work on that…
Meanwhile the ref was checking on Nanami, who was muttering something about pink donphans. After a few moments of checking she cleared her throat “Nanami Nigirizushi is unable to battle! Nanny & Teddy-Chan are the winners!!” she declared at the top of her lungs as she pointed to the two Rose was still trying to get the taste out of her mouth and Petie was fast asleep.
”You hear tha” Rose broke into a coughing fit “t Teddy-chan? We” more coughing as she made a face “Oh that tastes awefull… we won!”
“Zzzzzzzzzz…”
“Oi I need a glass of water…”
