EDIT: the issue is not that I keep my watchers from enjoying the artwork i make, you can enjoy it just fine with a watermark btw. The ISSUE is asking for someone esles commission to use for your own ends. THAT is the issue and i put watermarks on all my commissioned work unless otherwise asked not to because people want thier copywrites protected if they pay through the nose.
the commisson in question is a book cover with purchased copywrites, I have no controll over how the commissioner wants it distributed and am abiding by the terms set forth in the contract for the commission.
Granted only one person ever asked for this. And I doubt others would be so forward.

I've actually had issues with this particular person in the past being a pest about things. He's become recurring. You can see him even in crazy people 17. I have nothing against people who ask politely. Its when people are rude, ask for other people's work... REPEATEDLY after the question has been asked several times and the same answer given, that i do loose my patience.
He wanted to use it as a wallpaper but I felt really uncomfortable NOT putting an obtrusive watermark on it simply because i put a crapton of effort into it and my commissioner paid well over 500 for it so i didnt want just anyone to get to use a nice rez of it. A watermark is necessary because eventually it will go on a book cover for the commissioner, and i dont want it spread all over the net unauthorised.
