I guess I have to put my two cents in here.

First of all, yes, Korrok + Blue and yellow = total resemblance of Larui. Now... I know there could be some concern here on Gobby's part after what I am aware happened between her and Banrai, and then your rooming with Banrai at FWA. I mean, I'm not saying there is, but I'm sure Gobby's concerns would be legit were she to think "what if Korrok has some issues with me that I'm not aware of, and this is her way of getting it out?" The title certainly wouldn't help. Again, I'm not suggesting you do, or that you did this out of spite, but this is making it seem like you do (have issues with Gobby she is unaware of) and if not, I think it's best to clear that up here and now. Also, the links to the 'irony' article certainly make it seem like you're out to hurt Gobby personally, whether or not that is the case.

Second, and this is much more directed to Banrai, Larui is not a stolen character. There was, awhile ago, some probelms I am aware of between Gobby and Roux about the character Junker, but Gobby is a very original character and I have not once come across a character like her or evidence that the character is in anyway inspired or ripped from another's. That suggestion is foolish and obviously a jab at the person themselves, and unnessicary. Also, noone is 'attacking' you (Banrai), actually, quite the contrary. It seems people leaving their 'scathing' comments are definately directed at Korrok, and there's no need for you to draw negative attention onto yourself.

Sorry for commenting towards both in one post, but I figured it'd be more... compact this way.

I'm using Banrai's colour scheme. She is using mine. Where the hell does that involve Gobby?!

That's just...wow. Like adding one and one and coming out with eleventy one.

If Gobby has anything to say to me herself, she will contact me by email and say it. But you seem to be jumping the gun here and making a bit of an arse of yourself by trying to stir up drama where there is none to find.

And just because I thought it pertinent to point out, on examination of the character Laurie, some distinct flaws in this logic.

- This character has pink/red hair. The Banrai colour scheme as used on me has green.
- This character is pale blue, where the Banrai colour scheme is dark.
- I only have yellow spots because I'm a spotted hyena, and yellow is the contrasting colour to the blue. This character's natural animal is not spotted, thus they are unique.
- The hands and feet only on the Laurie character are yellow, I've used the same length of gold that's on my normal character.
- There is no prominent purple patch or indication of such, as is consistent with Banrai's markings.
- There are no yellow head patches on my character here, the dark muzzle has been made gold as is consistent with both hyena markings and Banrai's colour scheme.
- There are no stripes, wings, or other markings unique to anyone but myself or Banrai to be found in the above image.

Ergo, we can indeed see that not only have you totally jumped the gun, but you are trying to create problems where they are not present. Good day!

Wow. Your credibility just flew right out the window. I addressed you in a completely polite and understanding manner, pointed out that I did NOT particularly feel that you were ripping Larui in this picture, but that there are certain aspects concering both situation at the time of posting this and the general scheme of the character which might make one think that way. I certainly required no in depth character assessment. I was simply pointing out that since people are commenting in such a fashion, that if you have no issues with Gobby, clearing that up in the post would be very helpful. Did you not read what I had to say or did you just decide to take it as a flame anyway? I'm not trying to create any problems, I'm just stating a point (or two) and trying to figure out if there's an issue here. If you see a problem with my helping a concerned friend, there is no need to get upset. I'm not trying to start any fights. It just so happens that this picture seems to be there to do just that, given -circumstances-, and if it is not, no big deal. Just considering what has occured, a disclaimer "NO I AM NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN TO GOBBY" would certainly aid the veiwer.

I can see that the intention is to make drama. There is no further point in responding to this, especially as I am more than aware that if Gobby thought I had a problem with her, she'd be contacting me. Furthermore, there is nothing related to Gobby or anyone but myself and Banrai in this picture.

I will certainly not be posting comments relating this drawing to any other silly feuds online where the intent is nothing but an exchange of character colouration!

That's funny, because if anyone else does, you just post an article and sod off. Why the big 'OMG THIS IS WHY IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE Larui' comment to me? Yes. It may not be exactly like Laurui, but at a glance it seems to BE Larui and many people are upset.

Also. have you not considered due to your sudden unbreakable bond with Banrai that she may be just a bit intimidated? I know I was when I found a friend of mine becoming omgBFFlol with her, and I don't blame her for not wanting to bring it up for fear of starting shit.

And if that is the only intention, why make it seem so... devious in intent? The way you title it really -does- make the difference. Even the description suggests something more than might be on the surface.

You're trying to attribute the fact that I am affronted by your bringing drama onto my page to some kind of guilt. It's plain for anyone to see: there is no mention of Gobby here. It is simply a picture with colour exchange. Attributing any more to it, regardless of the title and description which even on further inspection STILL seems to have nothing to do with what you're talking about, is paranoid delusion.

As for "unbreakable bond" with Banrai? What on earth are you talking about, and for someone I've never had any exchanges with, why are you presuming to know me or my friends? Further, why on earth do you know who I roomed with at FWA? No offence, but that's really rather creepy. I've got nothing to do with you, haven't even spoken to you and you shouldn't be keeping tabs on me. Though quite honestly, I've observed your obsession with Banrai's every move, so I doubt that I actually enter the equation at all any more than just being one of Banrai's friends. Still, this kind of comment is somewhat worrying. "Unbreakable bond" indeed. I don't even live on the same side of the Atlantic! I first met Banrai at FWA, I think she's a great person and definitely we're going to stay as friends. Just like many people who meet at cons. I've not exactly made a blood pact with her! XD Come on, you realise surely how ludicrous these kind of things sound? Chill out.

And finally, can I just make the point that I also saw Gobby at FWA and spoke with her. I've not had any animosity with her at all, and I made my position clear at the start of their fall-out that I was not "taking sides". I don't live by playground rule, sorry. So drawing gift art for Banrai, or rooming with Banrai, or talking to Banrai, doesn't mean I've changed my position.

It's a simple color scheme switch between two charecters WHICH HAVE NOTHING TO DO with ANY other charecter.

But my two cents along with Kasais: I don't see how 'color theft' can be involved here. As far as I saw, Gobby's character had nothing to do with this. Just Banrai's colors on Korrok and Korrok's colors on Banrai.

The colors and marking colors are put into the right areas. Thus, Banrai with black markings and Korrok with yellow spots.

This isn't theft.
This is a color switch.
This did not involved Gobby.

And I'm not sure why she was mentioned in the first place. O_o;
