i kind of wonder how you keep the color so uniform as well as keeping it from bleeding unto the drawing, without using some kind of dry agent on the drawing to prevent bleedthrough?

I hate doing gradient in watercolor to much patience work, by the way you may be the queen of patience to color most of your stuff by hand our you really enjoy doing it.

hm...do you normaly go over part of the subject with the background colour?...if so how does that work out for you? Like is it easy to cover up the blue if it does go over top? like mericus said above how do you get it to not bleed through...well i would imagen the background paint was watered down somewhat. and possible the actually subject gets painted with with a thick paint?...ack...lol sorry for the story...I'm just so curious
