Originally this was going to be a simple little picture of Iris with her pet Yanmega, but I decided to challange myself, and so I altered it to make it a winter/christmas themed picture. Then I decide to make a background (just for kicks) based on Animal Crossing, which involved a bit of research and tinkering. The trees were originally made by Crimson-Jass on deviant for PKMN-Crossing members (club on deviantart) to use, which I recoloured and modified for this picture. Took a while to finish but I'm happy.
