Ha! I wish they had done something that naughty in the actual cartoons. The RR is such a great tease, why shouldn't he (I guess) tease like that? I actually have a WIP comic that plays on the whole teasing.

I always thought it was funny how little the cartoon roadrunner resembles a real one.

If you look at Chuck Jones' first drawing it does look very angular like a real roadrunner. Everything later is more toony and expressive and not much like the real bird. I think there's a comparison of the two in Chuck Amuck.

I see. I just always felt that even other cartoons represented the species they were supposed to be better, and the roadrunner was always a rather dramatic departure. *shrug*
