Their eyes are still closed and they are crawling on top of each other like tiny puppies and they are crying and hungry and I WILL STEAL THEM AND RAISE THEM AS MY OWN!

Nah, you can't turn your kids gay or straight, they'd both be into ladies and certainly not each other.
But I WOULD make sure Gem ate properly, and that Bloodstone didn't pick on him so much, and I wouldn't play favorites. (Tempting though it would be)
