Something from my sketchbook that I used as a test. I got GIMP working on my Linux install and finally got my tablet working (thanks
ink and another friend <3). I found an excellent brush pack/brush plugin to use with it and I'm really happy with it, but there's still some weird UI issues I'm working out. The parts from GIMP and the parts from SAI don't look different at all, so I'm glad that it's not obvious what parts were worked on in what program. I don't even know why I'm writing this who reads these? Merry Christmas!

I am reminded VERY heavily of Tony DiTerlizzi here, which is as high a compliment as I can possibly give. A very dream-like quality to it, soft and full of curves, almost ethereal in the air it gives off. Experiment with this, as I'd love to see more in this style of painting.
Thank you! I have a special soft spot for book illustrations, especially children's books and young adult titles. There are some really fantastic illustrators out there who make these kinds of books work. Sometimes I will buy these books just because I love the illustrations. I'm flattered <3
