Another gift painting, this time of a young red-tailed hawk. The person I painted this for trained this hawk to be an educational bird for another facility. Chaplin (or Chappy for short) has a lot of personality, and early in his training would 'peep' non-stop while on the glove! We figured he would probably do this during his debut educational program, but wouldn't you know it - as soon as Chappy went on stage, he went silent!
