Naturally, I couldn't let Christmas go by without including some very special art by (the late) Lya Korda (a lot of whose art I'd post back in November, 2011, two months after her passing).
The Hungarian-born artist was a long-time member of MENSA, and so, she used to draw lots of images featuring the owl - the group's mascot - for the cover of "Brow-Beat", the journal of MENSA Broward County.
This time, I present a large portion of the cover art to the December, 2006 issue of "Brow-Beat", with a flock of owls filling in for reindeer, in pulling Santa's sleigh!
The artwork also features a little in-joke, as one of the presents has the name Rich(ard) Lederer on it. For the uninformed, Lederer is a well-known authority on the English language, words and wordplay. Just so you know...
