aka White Christmas.

Ok, so I actually have an interesting story to tell about Xmas for once. Tonight was very different Xmas Eve. Not exactly typical or in the spirit of things.

So, around 7pm while I was in the shower, I hear the smoke alarms go off. At first I think nothing of it cause smoke alarms go off in out building alot. Then I realize that they were OUR smoke alarms... then I realized that BOTH were going off. I peak my head outta the bathroom and see smoke. I'm like HOLY FUCK! I race into the kitchen, and kilwillae follows from out of the other room. Our Xmas center piece was on FIRE. O>O I quickly run to the fire extinguisher (still butt naked) on the fridge, pull the pin, and just fucking DOUSE the dinner table. The fire was caused by a candle in the center of the piece that was lit and left unattended. We didn't think it would set anything on fire once it burned down. X.x The fire burned about one and a half feet high, and blew two bulbs in the light fixture above the table.

Fire out, kitchen full of smoke. While I get a robe on, Kil opens all the doors. Alarms are still going off. Stay on for about another 5 minutes. After I calm down, I realize what I just did. The extinguisher was a DRY CHEMICAL POWDER type. Our kitchen was COVERED in white powder. Another way to explain it (if the pictures don't do it justice) is to imagine a pound bag of flower with a M-80 stuffed inside and lit. BOOM! That's what it was like.

So, we've pretty much been spending all of tonight cleaning. Even though it was scary and made a mess, it was a new experience for both of us, and now we have a good Xmas story to tell. *sigh* Merry Christmas everyone! :D
