"Other"...?

Well, he can't be the White Mage since we already came across one in the campaign before Capri became one. So he's the Other White Mage. Additionally, in an environment that was up until recently overfull of mages, Capri is the only one who has no education in magic, formal or otherwise, making him other in that respect too.

The third reason is cultural. Capri is one of the few goats in a town populated largely by boars, horses, and foxes. In the lore of Ironclaw the boars have a long tradition of making the goats - their closest neighbors - some kind of mystical bogeymen. Boar mothers threaten their misbehaving children by saying the goats will come down from the mountains in the night and kidnap them.

So Capri is very much the Other.
