I am pleased you found "The Meeting" as touching as you did! This was written to a very special friend I met briefly and after many months re-acquainted myself with. Please remember time is but a fraction of ones life. The future holds "us" in its hands and opens its doors only at the right time. Don't worry, your time with that certain special someone will occur.

If you read through some of my other poems, you will find that I recently found out that my wife of 23 years is having an affair with some one in our church community. Relationships I cherish as I gave my all to my wife. However there are times when things just go wrong. My wife will not accept that she is experiencing a mid-life crisis. After being shown fact that the one she has endeared herself to is a sexual predator she still feels that their encounter is as "HE" put it "a god-incident". I was willing to forgive if she could put this behind her however she feels in her words that "god put her with him to help cure his erectile dysfunction". Now I could be upset about this and actually I am, however where will it get me? The process has been started and if these two wish to be together, so let it be.

I have to think positive regardless or their insanity will be mine as well. I can go on with my life just as I would suggest you follow yours as well.

We have the time! We make the best of the time we have. Know your time will come all too soon. Just be prepared!

I've always thought the same thing about situations as that. I can see how those stuck in the predicament will most likely retaliate to unthinkable degrees, but I simply will always think things through to where you are now. I purely admire your maturity and deep-mindedness, and only hope to be in the same mind set come my later years.

Thank you for the reassurance that there are people as well-put-together as yourself. I've been thinking that there are too few to be looking for. Thank you, thank you. You just may have changed my whole view on others.

Very nice touching imagery here. Makes me wonder how poetic I can be and if I have the patience to write poems. I guess it should be no different than writing novels. I'll say that you intrigued me and may possibly inspired me to write my own poems.

This is somewhat communicating a message that life is treasurable by the minute and we shouldn't let it go to waste. That's what I got from your poem. Your poems have purposeful meaning and doesn't really demoralize anybody at all. This is the kind of poetry I like to see more often.

To know I may have touched another and allowed them the thought of inspiration raises my heart on the wings of eagles. It is so often our words are taken in a wrong light. As writers we ask only to be read. I can only hope my continued writings will embrace you in the same way.
