Yaknow.. I tried variations with grey & teal and it just never quiteworked. I really do like natural colors and i think it'd be a great idea to make him a light color (like sand foxes) and then move the richer colors to the snake tail. There's already some complexity in the hybrid design, best to keep colors simple. The snake is yellow & black with a rainbow sheen to the scales irl.
