This was an exercise that I had to do in my Drawing 1 class my freshman year of college, about 7 years ago. Everyone in class was to first draw a still life of a wine bottle, but the twist was to draw the bottle 7 times and to then make a different design on each bottle. This was done with pencil, large paper, and prismacolor black marker.
