In the heyday of the Extinctioners fanfics the 'GSIF - Rescue' story arch was one in which all of the main Extinctioners team members had been captured by the humans and it was up to the 'B' team - the fan GSIF characters - to band together and enact a rescue. My character the Midnight Sun (Cinaed) was given the task of rescuing Vague and along the way ended up contending with both Eclipse (his brother) and Sunspot.
