Yeah, I overuse the silhoutted-against-the-moon look, but my tutors don't know that.

This is a page from an art book I worked on over three months as part of my university course. I am uploading select pages here and the full project will be on my DeviantArt.
Its subject is an extinct animal that lived in Australia during the Pleistocene epoch, roughly 3 million to 50 000 years ago. It is also known as the marsupial lion. As it is known only from fossils it's anyone's guess whether T. carnifex hunted during the day or the night, but many predators are nocturnal so it's not unreasonable that T. carnifex was active at night.
