December 28th will mark the two-year anniversary of the death of one of my idols, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, the former drummer of Avenged Sevenfold.

I drew up this little tribute doodle on a whim, and I’m rather pleased with the results. It’s not the best, I know (never been great at portraits/human faces, especially those of actual people), but I felt like I had to do something to remember such a wonderful, talented man so full of energy and spirit that it’s so hard to believe he’s actually gone… and at such a young age, too. It’s so tragic.

Rest in peace, dear Reverend, and thank you for contributing so beautifully to one of my biggest sources of inspiration with your fantastic musical talent. <3
